Wow. I would love to hear the details of the judge’s ruling and his stated reasons.

The sentence is not a surprise. It’s what I predicted here on February 4th (three days after the jury verdict) based on federal sentencing guidelines.

Excellent result. I attribute this fine display of justice to the dedicated hard working prosecutors who are over worked and under financed. I especially applaud the graphics people at the IRS who painstakingly craft complicated facts into easily understood pictures so that even the dimmest juror can get the point. Let’s hear it for the paper artists! Yippeeeeeee

I am only surprised that the sentence was the maximum. I had predicted 31 months. After all, he got high marks from Chuck Norris. ;)

It is sad that the land of the free -still support a immoral law that allowes the state to take private property that Mr. Snipes have worked and accumulated thrue his dedication and skills.
Taxation is theft and can only be collected by threats and use of force- that is not the true purpose of having a government or a state – the purpose is to protect property rights and the foundation of individual rights.
It is sad to see US turning more and more to be like Sweden the den of statism.

Kahn gets the max without an attorney, Snipes gets the max with his high priced high powered legal team and Rosile ends up with LESS than the 78 month maximum and 63 months minumum asked for by the prosecutors with some lawyer nobody’s ever heard of?

  9. SnipesFan Says:
    April 25th, 2008 at 10:33 am

Oh I’m sorry, Rosile was looking at a MINIMUM of 78 to 97 months.. My bad…

  10. JJ MacNab Says:
    April 25th, 2008 at 10:36 am

Kahn got the max because he had a criminal history (he spent three years in prison for failing to file tax returns in the 1980s.)

Snipes got the max because of the huge amount of taxes he owes.

Rosile had no criminal history, and he filed his taxes and repaid all amounts due in full before the criminal trial started. Unlike Snipes, he didn’t mail threatening letters to the prosecutors after he’d been indicted, and unlike Kahn, he stopped peddling his scam as soon as he’d been told to by a federal court.

Bottom line, thanks to sound advice from his wise lawyer, Rosile did as much as he could to minimize his punishment, unlike the other two, who only made matters worse.

What happened to Life, Libery and the Persuit Of Happiness? [God’s laws are much greater than “man’s” laws. “We The People” Created the government and now “Our” government wants to rule “us”….This must stop! Come on now…. Who do “we” owe anything to? “Taxes” are fraudulant anyway, no one is required to “pay” taxes nor “file”. Taxes are “VOLUNTARY”

Wow, check out all those quotation marks. I guess “some people” feel that they have to “view” certain “words” through Koolaid colored glasses…

    “Taxes are VOLUNTARY”

Another protester who doesn’t know what voluntary compliance means…

Reggie Bush, you’re “on your own” on this one, dude! :)

If you don’t want to pay taxes and help support the American lifestyle to which you’ve probably grown quite accustomed, you naturally can “volunteer” not to your fair share of ‘em and suffer the “consequences” . . . but I personally love living in America (”life”); I’ve lived in several foreign countries during my lifetime and know without a doubt that we, America, have got the best thing going, by far (”liberty”), and I’m more than happy to voluntarily remit my fair share of taxes just to stay here, own property and drive my automobiles wherever I want and whenever I want (”pursuing my happiness,” with a vengeance!). :)

Quit griping and give to “Caesar” what is his . . . heck, it’s “only” money, and you definitely can’t “take it with you”!

[Man, try as I might, I just couldn't resist the "quotation marks"!] ;)

Why do we pay taxes? Ever hear of roads? Bridges? Social programs to take care of sick, elderly and poor people?

Reggie, is your Kool-Aid grape or red?

And another thing, next time you copy and paste something from another website please try to remember to remove the [. Thanks

    To help support AMERICA!

Who own’s AMERICA, We The People, or the GOVERNMENT?

I stated “Life” not where you’ve lived. (nothing personal)

“Liberty” Pay taxes to stay where? (On Earth/The land that nobody can own), own property? Once done paying for it, you continue to pay (hmmmm, I wonder why) Do you have the original deed/title to that “propery” or does the State that you “live” in that has a contract on the “Title company” still have it because if you don’t pay taxes the state takes it from you [due to a tax lien] If you get pulled over does the police officer run your plate that is registered through the “State” that you “live” in? Do you have the original copy of the title to your vehicle called the MSO (Manufacturer’s Statement of Oregon)……

Just a few questions that’s all!

How about some punctuation “pal”. And actually she’s a 60lb boxer but thanks for asking.

Nothing copied? The bs that you quoted is right out of the sedm dot org playbook. Twisting the bible to make a case for not paying taxes. JESUS himself said to pay Ceasar what is due to him. Matthew 22:15-21 . Google it!

And btw, since when did the Manufacturer’s Statement of ORIGIN move to Oregon??? Keep it comin’ “PAL”!!

C’mon man! You couldn’t think of anything witty so you had to resort to profanity? How adult like. If you don’t have the mental capacity to come up with quick one liners what makes you think that you have the mental capacity to understand U.S. tax code?

Do us all a favor and while you’re in the library go to the “T” isle and look up “Taxes for Dummies”. Get back to us when you figure ‘em out (I won’t hold my breath).

Thanks for the public ownage of Reggie JJ.

BTW, for any other “God owns the Earth” why pay taxes crowd, may a I suggest you move your free loading *ss to some place that does not have taxes. Somalia does not have an income tax or other tax. I barely has something that resembles a government.

Don’t let the door hit you on the bum bum on the way out.

I don’t like income tax because it is an invasion of privacy, and big businesses and the rich always hire some bigshot CPA to get them out of paying a majority of taxes while the poor and middle class always end up getting hosed. I know the majority of revenue is from the wealthy, but if I work for 4 months to pay taxes, at 40,000 a year, while some multi-millionaire works about maybe a month to pay, it is unfair. Yeah, he pays more in monitary funds, but it doesnt compare to what I have to pay of my salary.

Furthermore it is unjust in most cases. Mr. Snipes is lucky he is rich. If I were caught not paying taxes I would have wages garnished, accounts froze and property siezed without a court date. The court date, that would only come after every bit of money was gone and I could not afford a lawyer and had a whole bunch of collection agencys comin after me because I couldnt pay bills cause the IRS takes everything. Then I would’ve had to resort to one of those tax law firms who made millions helping the rich avoid paying taxes and now work pro-bono due to a guilty conscience.

It is an invasion of privacy, and really screws over the lower to mid level, middle class. Will I pay taxes, yep, don’t want to go to jail. Will I continue to be ticked about the way things are, yep.

None of you understand what was lost, read the facts and stop fooling your selfs and your short lives. The fed tax goes to the Federal reserve corporation they run the “US”, do not argue this until you have move off your lazy butts to find the truth of deception and it is huge….AMF
